Course Description: The Mechanics of Boiler Water Treatment course will review the various components of a steam boiler system, how those components impact the choices of water treatment materials and how those materials can be applied in the most efficient manner. Particular attention will be paid to optimized equipment designs and improvements that can be made to designs that are less than optimum. Hot water heating boilers will also be discussed. |

Course Description: The Mechanics of Cooling Water Treatment course will cover the components of a cooling water (condenser) system, how the component choice and makeup water will impact the water treatment materials used and how to best apply those materials. Equipment additions that can be made to improve the performance of the chemical program will be reviewed. Chilled water systems, including those containing glycol antifreeze solutions will also be discussed. |
